A few years ago, if someone told you that you'd be able to watch TV on your mobile phone, you'd never have believed them. After some laughter (a quick glance at the classic Nokia screen) the conversation would move on to something else. Today, however, everything is different: smartphones have large and increasingly higher resolution screens, so watching TV on your phone does not sound so outlandish. The first step to watch live TV on Windows phone is to go to the Applications list, sliding your finger to the left on the home screen, and search for Windows Phone Store (the store with a bag icon with the Windows logo). Click on it.
Once you've reached the Windows Phone Store, click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen in the center. This is the search engine. A field will open, write 'Zattoo' (without quotation marks).
A list of results appears. The app you're looking for is the first to appear, Zattoo. Click on it.
A new screen will open with information about the app to watch live TV, Zattoo. At the bottom there are two buttons, install and share. Click on 'Install'. The app will be downloaded and installed automatically.
To use the app and watch TV directly on your Windows Phone, return to the list of applications and look for Zattoo. Click on it.
Once it's launched, the app will ask you to register. Enter your data (username and password) and accept. Now you're inside.
Zattoo provides access to 28 channels. The majority are Spanish channels, but there are some other channels available. Once in the app, you'll see that there are two sections, Guide and Previously Viewed. Guide is a guide to programming and a list of channels, each with a snapshot of what is being broadcast.
To see a live TV channel on your Windows Phone, you just have to click on any of the channels, both Previously Viewed and the Programming Guide and you begin to see it on your screen.
You should know there are other apps that have a similar function for Windows Phone such as SPB TV. Sky news also offers live tv to Windows Phone users.
